About the film
The film is composed of found footage from notorious Ural TV news agency (TAU), offering a rare glimpse into the destiny of a post-Soviet industrial region throughout the 1990s. Three striking local figures—a journalist, ex-military, and an Afro-Russian—remain in the lens of the agency’s cameras for years. Their personal stories intertwine with the chaotic, contradictory, and eclectic portrait of the Era that began with hope and ended in frustration and resentment.
